What is this innovation?
iPass Inc., a leading provider of mobile services for enterprises and telecom service providers, launched in May 2014 its cloud-based Business travellers Service 2.0. This solution should facilitate the Wi-Fi access to business travellers during their incentive trips.
What does it brings to me?
The new Business Traveller 2.0 service is based on cloud technology, the aim is to “fill the gaps in current Wi-Fi offerings by providing an economical and convenient access to more than 2.7 millions Wi-Fi access points in airports, airplanes, hotels and public places around the world” according to the Ipass statement. By this way, business travellers can easily have a safety and economically Internet connection from their devices (laptop, smartphone, tablet) in most of the place where the Wi-Fi is expensive or difficult to have an access.
How does it work?
The solution works as software; you have to download it, activate it and connect it. The service is available on IOS, Android, and Microsoft devices. Businesses simply provide a list of users who they would like to access the service, and iPass takes care of the rest.
