RTA organized in cooperation with the Tarragona Convention Bureau a two day Fam Trip with a polish incentive agency and some of their best corporate companies to Tarragona, Salou and Sitges after EIBTM tradeshow. The overall impression was very positive about visited locations and activities we have done together. We enjoyed the Mediterranean cities with more than 20º degrees every day at the end of November. Incredible!

The group was hosted by Hotel SB Ciutat de Tarragona 4* which is a good hotel for incentive and leisure groups. It offers 168 rooms and 8 meeting rooms with a maximum capacity of 420 persons in theatre style. It has a perfect location and nearly all city attractions are within 15 minutes walking distance as well as the Mediterranean Sea.

The group was impressed by several locations that are historical buildings, now used as venues for different types of events, including modern furniture and sound systems after an overall restoration. We also enjoyed very much the city tour with E-Bikes with our local guide Paco who explained us the 2000 year old history of the Roman City of Tarragona. The Amphitheatre and Roman Circus can be used for events and teambuilding activities.

We had the opportunity to participate in a show cooking in a local fish restaurant, learn how to play Poker during the “Poker Experience” in the Casino, enjoy a Wine Tasting, visit the former Bullfight Arena TAP and its museum, taste oil in a beautiful mansion from the XIII century that also produces some of the best wine of the Tarragona Designation of Origin in their wine cellar.

Saturday was perfect for a short visit to Sitges on our way to the Barcelona Airport. We stopped for a Mojito Time at world famous “Casa Bacardi” which since 4 years shows to the visitors the history of the founder of Bacardi who originally was from Sitges and emigrated to Cuba. The Museum is also a perfect location for private parties and events surrounded by the legend of Bacardi Rum, salsa music and professional bartenders.

Sitges also offers very good accommodation, such as Hotel Meliá Sitges 4*, that offers 307 comfortable executive rooms, 19 spacious meeting rooms, Auditorium with capacity for nearly 1300 persons and professional staff that is used to deal with meetings, incentives and conventions.
